Randeep Aujla

Randeep completed his medical degree from the University of Leicester and undertook a Masters in Surgery from the University of Edinburgh. His subsequent medical training was spread across the East Midlands South region of the UK.

He was awarded the prestigious European Arthroscopy Travelling Fellowship in 2018 where he travelled around Europe’s top sports surgery centres to broaden his experience and network. Following completion of his UK training in 2019 he completed an comprehensive knee fellowship in Leicester with Colin Esler prior to moving to Perth (Australia). Here he spent 6 months with Peter Annear at the Perth Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre followed by the Perth Sports Surgery Fellowship. After which he was appointed as a Consultant in Perth at the major trauma centre (Fiona Stanley Hospital) – a post he maintained for 7 months until he returned to the UK for personal reasons.

Randeep is now a Consultant trauma & orthopaedic surgeon at the University Hospitals of Leicester specialising in knee surgery and soft tissue hip surgery, including hip arthroscopy. He also works closely with the local sports physicians to provide broader sports surgery options for tendinopathy and chondral lesions around the upper and lower limbs.

Randeep has worked in elite sport since 2014 providing him with great insight to the demands of athletes. These positions included roles at professional football, cricket and rugby clubs and within combat sports.

He remains a keen teacher/trainer/mentor for the next generation of surgeons in the East Midlands and continues to engage with academic activities in the pursuit for perfection.
