Salary: AUD$160000 PA
Availability: 6-12 month fellowship
Conditions of appointment:
Interest in arthroplasty, revision and research
Medical Degree recognised by the Medical Board of Australia
Completion of Orthopaedic Training prior to commencement of Fellowship

Expected experience:
The fellow will be exposed to mainly revision and primary arthroplasty. There are usually 2-3 revisions and 2-10 primaries a week. The fellow will have their own lists and are expected to teach on these. A wide variety of implants and techniques are used and that the majority of patients will be included in trials. The fellow has no trauma on call commitment, and will be expected to do help out on the trauma on Thursday afternoon to cover the training registrars regional teaching.
We will expect the fellow to receive a large volume of supervised and independent operating experience. We expect a significant commitment to research, and progressing projects in the departments and ORFWA. Research will be focused around joint replacements, but other projects will be available. It is expected that the fellow will publish a number of papers.
